The Warriors at The Phoenix, Hilsea

£13.20 - £14.20

The Warriors are coming out to play!

Being the original singer of The Last Resort, Graham Saxby has an oi predigree that would put Crufts to shame.
He’s bringing his band, The Warriors (who also formed out of The Last Resort), to Portsmouth. I don’t know when they last played Portsmouth but I’m going to say that they’ve never played Pompey because it’s a better story that way.

I would supply you with a link to a YouTube video but right now I’m at Butlins and the internet is wank.

Joining them is The Crash Landings from Bournemouth. I’m also going to say this is their first time in Portsmouth because I haven’t bothered to ask them and I’m a fantastic guesser.

They’ve got a bit of a varied sound and can even throw in a bit of ska into the mix when they want to. The harder stuff can be quite reminiscent of Argy Bargy in my opinion and that’s high praise from me.

Last up we have The Neurophobics from the Isle of Wight. I put this on the lighter end of the streetpunk spectrum and they’ve got a lot of melody and groove going on. Shall we say that they’ve never played Portsmouth before as well? Yeah, fuck it. Why not.
